1. Who controls your data
Anton, trading through RightQuoter, is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Tradespeople using the service are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to enter their customers' details into quotes.
2. Data we collect
- Account data, including your name, email address and login identifiers.
- Business and quote data, including business contact details, customer names, addresses and email addresses, project descriptions, prices and terms.
- Support communications and information you provide when asking for help.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, authentication events and service activity needed for operation and security.
Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record and are not stored by RightQuoter.
3. Why we use data and our legal bases
- To create accounts, save and share quotes, and provide subscriptions: performance of our contract.
- To secure, maintain and improve the service and prevent fraud: our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service.
- To answer support requests: contract performance and legitimate interests.
- To meet tax, accounting and legal duties: compliance with legal obligations.
- For optional communications or non-essential cookies, where used: your consent.
4. Who receives data
We share data only where needed with hosting, database, authentication, monitoring and support service providers; Paddle for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, billing support and refunds; professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers; and public authorities where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where required, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, adequacy decisions or approved standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
We keep account and quote data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed to provide exports, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or meet legal and accounting duties. We then delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your data, receive a portable copy, object to processing, and withdraw consent. We aim to respond within one month. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Security and cookies
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and protected data transmission, to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss or misuse. RightQuoter uses essential browser storage and cookies where needed for sign-in, security and core operation. Any optional analytics or marketing cookies will require an appropriate choice before use.
9. Changes
We may update this notice when our practices or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
